Frequently Asked Questions

What is Printrbook?

Printrbook is the simplest way to print photobooks of your Instagram or Facebook photos. By logging in with your Instagram or Facebook account, you can choose the photos you want to print, pick a few printing options and we'll ship your book where ever you are in the world.

How many photos are in each book?

At the moment, each book has to contain either 25 or 50 photos. Our aim is to make this much more flexible - so you can add as many as you like. However, while we're just getting going making every book the same number of pages keeps the cost down for us - and for you!

How big is each book?

Our books measure 10cm wide by 11cm tall. That's big enough to see your photos clearly (and to print the captions too!) but small enough to fit in your hand so you can show it off to your friends.

How are 25- and 50-photo books different?

All our books have the same number of pages. Books with 25 photos are just printed on one side whereas books with 50 photos are printed on both sides.

Where can I add photos from ?

You can add photos from your Instagram and Facebook accounts. You can even combine photos from both accounts in a single book. Just switch between the different sources (you'll be asked to log in if you're not already) and add photos as you normally would.

Can I print captions?

Yes! When you've chosen your photos we ask you to select a number of different printing options. One of those is whether you want your original Instagram captions printed beneath each photo. So it's up to you - you can print your book with or without captions.

Can I print the date & time on each photo?

Yes. Optionally, you can print either the date or both the date and time beneath each photo. We use the date & time that you uploaded the photo to Instagram. Or, of course, you can choose to leave this information off your photos altogether.

Can I print the location where the photos were taken?

Yes, if you tagged the location when you uploaded the photo to Instagram or Facebook. Just choose the 'Print location' option on the printing options page and we'll print the name of the location just beneath the photo.

Can I choose what goes on the cover?

Yes, of course. As part of the printing options selection process, you can choose to have either 1, 4 or 9 photos on your cover. We can either choose these for you if you don't have the time to choose, or you can choose photos from inside your book to put on the cover.

How much does a book cost?

Our 25-photo books are £12.99 (about $20) and our 50-photo books are £15.99 (about $25). For shipping rates, refer to the shipping section below.

Can I save a book and finish it later?

Yes, absolutely! When you log in with your Instagram, we create a draft book. As you add each image, we store your progress - so you can leave our site and come back later to finish it off. Even if you close your browser and come back a week later, you can pick up from where you left off.

Can I order different books in the same order?

Yes. We operate a shopping basket system, so you can keep making different books and adding them to your basket. When you're ready, just checkout once!

Can I order more than one copy?

Yes. Just change the quantity of each book in your shopping basket. You might want to order more than one so you can give them to friends or family as a keepsake of fun times together. We'll ship them all to the address you give us.

What paper do you print on?

We print your photos on 150gsm Inaset paper and surround them with a 300gsm Trucard cover. Our paper is FSC certified and produced using power from 100% renewable resources. Print production systems registered are to ISO14001 : 2004, ISO 9001 : 2008 and EMAS standards, with a carbon free status by offsetting all site emissions through the charity Rainforest Concern.

How are the books bound?

The pages of your book are glued together - a process known as perfect binding or case binding.

Can I print photos from a friend's Instagram or Facebook account?

Since you don't own your friends photos, that would be a 'no'. Sorry. You're only able to print your own photos from your own accounts. Of course, if you've got multiple accounts (maybe a public one and a private one, for example) then you can print from any of those.

A group of us want to print photos from a joint party

That's ok - as long as all the photos are in one account. Why not set up a joint Instagram account that you can all access? Then just login to Printrbook with that account. Hey presto!

I've got videos in my Instagram account. What happens to those?

Your videos will show up in Printrbook along with your photos. We'll just show you the frame you chose as the cover. You can include that frame in your book just like any other photo.

How much is shipping?

Shipping anywhere in the world is FREE! We ship using UK Royal Mail services.

My order hasn't arrived yet

We print on a weekly basis and ship using Royal Mail. Please allow up to 14 days for your order to arrive. If you've still not received it, please get in touch quoting your order number and we'll look into it for you.

I received my order but the photos look a bit fuzzy

We print using your Instagram photos at the highest possible resolution. At the moment, Instagram only stores photos at 640 x 640 pixels resolution, so that's what we print. Print quality will also depend on the quality of the original image - the higher the resolution image you upload to Instagram, the better we can print it.

Are you affiliated with Instagram or Facebook?

No, we're nothing to do with Instagram or Facebook. Although we love what they do, of course. The only way we're connected with them is that we use their APIs (that's a technical thing, don't worry about what it is).

Do you just print books?

At the moment, yes. We'll be adding more products soon though so keep checking back.

How can I get in touch?

We love to hear from our customers. You can get in touch with us in loads of ways so pick whichever you prefer. Here's how:

Didn't you used to be called Printrgram?

Yes, we started life as Printrgram. But in August 2013 Instagram changed their terms of use and banned the use of 'gram' in the name of any third party applications such as ours. So as much as we loved the old name, we had to change it in order to still keep bringing you the ability to create awesome Instagram photo albums!

So from now on we're Printrbook.

Anyway, we hope you like the new name - we do!

How come you're so awesome?

Oh stop it! *Blush*
